Help Restore the Sisters’ Convent
We hope you have had a chance to view the pictures showing the condition of the Sisters’ Convent kitchen, which has undergone significant improvements thanks to your generous financial donations and the time and talents of our volunteers. We are grateful for your support in completing this phase of the work.
As we look ahead, we would like to address another pressing need: the bathrooms at the Convent.
The Convent is a three-bedroom house with two bathrooms, currently housing three Sisters. There have been times when four Sisters lived there, and occasionally, we have visitors, who come to meet with the Nuns. The existing bathrooms are located near the bedrooms, making them less accessible from the common areas of the house. Additionally, one of the bathtub/showers requires repairs due to age and low water pressure, as illustrated in the attached photos.
To better accommodate our Sisters and guests, we propose adding another bathroom that would be accessible from either one of the bedrooms or the common living area.
The cost of repairing the existing bathrooms and constructing a new one will be substantial. One parishioner has generously pledged up to $10,000, which is a wonderful start, but we will need additional support to cover the total expenses. We kindly ask for your continued generosity, whether through financial contributions or assistance with the construction efforts.
To move forward, we need to obtain estimates for the new bathroom, as well as the necessary permits. This will require creating detailed sketches and drawings. If you possess the skills to assist with this important project, please contact the parish office.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and may God bless you all.
