For updated announcements: go to Faith Formation tab: CCE grades 1-8
The First Eucharist is generally celebrated in the Easter season for children in 2nd grade and higher. Children must be enrolled in Faith Formation for two years as a way of understanding the Eucharist as the Sacrament of gift. In our diocese, preparation and celebration of Reconciliation is required prior to the reception of the First Eucharist. Parents are given take-home materials to help their children train for these great liturgical moments.
If your child is preparing to receive their First Eucharist and was not baptized here
at St. Bartholomew, a copy of his/her certificate of baptism must be turned in to the CCE.
You may bring a copy to the CCE office or fax it to Attn: Nellie 281-391-3978.

If online registrations for catechism have closed, you have two options:
1) wait until next year or
2) follow these steps:
If you are not yet registered as a parish member, you must register as a parishioner.
After registering, call the catechism office to enroll your child for catechism.
If there are no available spaces left in the catechism classes, request the catechism staff to register your child for the home-based catechism class so that your son or daughter does not miss out on receiving the sacraments.
