How Can We Be Good Stewards
of Our Financial Resources?
Stewardship of Treasure is about giving to God the first fruits of our labors. Everything that we have, our time, our health, our material possesions, and our money, are all gifts from God. Jesus invites his disciples to practice a life free from slavery to consumerism and materialism. A traditional tithe is 10%. Some give 5% to church, and 5% to other charities. Some families can afford to give more, others less, but all gifts are acceptable to God.

INTENTIONAL - a deliberate decision made after thoughtful prayer
PLANNED - a part of my regular budget
PROPORTIONATE - a percentage of my total income
SACRIFICIAL - requires that we give up some luxuries
and trust God to meet our needs
