Sacramental Policies and Guidelines
General Guidelines
Canon Law requires that the sacraments be received in the parish where one worships and participates in community. Therefore, participants in sacramental programs should be registered parishioners of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church who regularly attend mass.
Confirmation
Confirmation candidates must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist. At St. Bartholomew's, Confirmation is usually offered to students in the 11th grade during regular CCE classes. The candidates must have attended CCE classes for two years with a minimum of 80 percent attendance prior to the present year. Candidates must complete a retreat and service hours as part of their preparation.
