URGENT ACTION ALERT
on Healthcare Mandates
Write to Congress today! A recent edict by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been called "literally unconscionable" by the U.S. Catholic Bishops. It demands that sterilization, abortifacients, and contraception be included in virtually all health plans, even for employees of Catholic hospitals, social services, etc. Study the issues at www.usccb.org and write congress urging them to support the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK
The Sacrament of Anointing is the proper sacrament for those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age. Through this sacrament the Church supports the sick in coping with their illness and continues our Lord’s work of healing. This sacrament is available during the Mass on the First Saturday of each month. The elderly, the seriously ill and those preparing for major surgery are urged to take advantage of this opportunity.
NEW ! Please Sign-Up One Week Ahead
To help us prepare for the number of people wishing to receive this sacrament, we request that you please enter your name on the sign up sheet in front of the Ministers’ Room, which is to your left as you enter the Narthex, on or before the Sunday preceding the Mass of Anointing, or just call the parish office.
Have You Run Out of
Contribution Envelopes?
We no longer give out boxes of envelopes from the office, instead, pre-printed contribution envelopes are mailed directly to parishioners, from the company "Our Sunday Visitor". Please call the parish office to be added to this mailing list. We are currently updating this list and DELETING the names of parishioners who are not using their envelopes regularly. If you find that you are no longer receiving envelopes and would like to be put back on the mailing list, please call Maggie at the parish office, 281-391-4758 ext. 410.
Fund Designation is Important!
When you intend for your contribution to go into a specific fund, such as the Building Fund, or for a special collection, please mark your intention on your contribution envelope or check. If we cannot determine which fund you intended, there may be a discrepancy in your contribution statement.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PARISHPAY USERS:
The Capital Campaign fund was set up in 2008 as a three-year commitment. If you have been contributing to the Capital Campaign through ParishPay, your automatic payments may have stopped when the drive ended in December of 2011. We recommend that you review your ParishPay account ( at www.parishpay.com) and prayerfully consider reallocating those automatic payments to the Building Fund.
